12/4/2023 0 Comments Firealpaca vs saiIf you are a professional cartoon artist or have an aspiring career as one, I highly recommend getting a version of MediBang.įireAlpaca is equipped with several advanced features that facilitate professional looking FireAlpaca artwork. These and many more features make this app a worthwhile investment. It includes a wide variety of drawing features including: draw over an image with the pen tool, draw a certain shape with the pen tool, draw a square or rectangle, erase some parts of the image, and add shadows and highlights to your image. Some of the drawing features of the MediBang are particularly useful if you are trying to learn cartoon drawing comic panels.Īnother major feature of the MediBang paint pro is its range of animation tools. You can move your finger around and experiment with different positions and perspectives until you find the best position and the right look. You can use this feature to get a rough sketch or to plan out the final composition. This feature lets you draw directly on any of the layers in the painting. The most useful feature of the software is its "draw anywhere" feature. You can change one of the layers at any time by choosing the desired layer and clicking on the layer change button. You can add more layers by right-clicking on one of the layers in the layers palette. There are four main layers which include: Top, Middle, Back, and Foreground. I would recommend Firealpaca, since it's free and does everything SAI does and more, and it has a animation mode which is easy to use.The software offers a number of tools for managing layers in your picture. I have photoshop to supplement it, but I only use it for text and some small bits and bobs. And fun fact my version of SAI is also pirated.Yeah heard that too, but really SAI still does everything you'd ever really need it to do. I wouldn't know- I may be a uh, "seafaring criminal" if you catch my drift.a lot of people say SAI is outdated but some people say it's still good so I still can't decide. Again, I'd use it first to see how you like it.Īlso is basically in browser photoshop if you don't want to go through the hassle of pirating photoshop- it literally does everything that photoshop can.Īt 8/9/21 08:37 AM, FlikkiShassART wrote: At 8/9/21 08:13 AM, PrincetonCartoons wrote: At 8/9/21 05:58 AM, FlikkiShassART wrote:Īlso I think SAI you have to pay for after a free period. The best thing to do then is to actually try each of the programs- find a list of features and weigh the pros and cons between them, and use the one you like the sound and feel of.Īlso I think SAI you have to pay for after a free period. I've used Firealpaca too, which I really liked, and would use more often if I wasn't so used to SAI. I use SAI, so of course I'm going to say SAI is better. ![]() It's a difficult question to answer, because people generally don't use more than one art software, and are going to be bias towards what they use.
